How to Make Tassels
Cut a piece of cardboard about 6”wide, and 5” long. Wind yarn around length of cardboard the number times necessary to make the desired tassel. Cut about 20”of yarn and thread doubled into tapestry needle. Run needle under all strands at top of cardboard, pull yarn up tightly and knot securely, leaving remaining ends for attaching to project.
Cut yarn at opposite side of cardboard; remove cardboard.
Cut another strand of yarn, 12” long, and wrap it tightly twice around tassel
1 1/2” below top knot. Knot securely and allow excess ends to fall as part of tassel.
