30 oz lt grey (A)
18 oz dk grey (B)
15 oz white (C)

Size 10 1/2 (6.5 mm) knitting needles (or size required for gauge)
Gauge:
15 sts= 4” with 2 strands of yarn held tog,
24 rows = 4”
Instructions:
Note: Work with 2 strands of yarn held tog throughout.
Strip 1 (make 7):
Beginning at point edge with 2 strands of A, CO 2 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Inc ( knit in front and back of st) in first st, knit rem sts: 3 sts
Row 3 through 12: Rep Row 2: 13 sts at end of Row 12.
Square 1
Change to B.
Rows 1 through 22: Knit.
Square 2:
Change to A.
Rows 1 through 20: *K1, P1; rep from * across row to last st, ending K 1.
Rep Squares 1 and 2, 6 more times; rep Square 1, once: 15 squares made.
Ending Point Edge
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Knit to last 2 stitches, K2tog.
Rep Row 2 until 2 sts remain. BO; weave in ends.
Strip 2 (make 6)
Beginning at point edge with 2 strands of C, CO 2 sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Inc ( knit in front and back of same st), knit across: 3 sts.
Row 3 through 12: Rep Row 2: 13 sts at end of Row 12.
Square 1
Change to B.
Row 1(right side): Knit.
Row 2: *K1, P1, rep from * across, ending K 1.
Rows 3 through 20: Rep Row 2.
Square 2
Change to C.
Row 1(right side): Knit.
Rows 2 through 4: Purl.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: Purl.
Rows 7 through 9: Knit.
Row 10: Purl.
Row 11: Knit.
Rows 12 through 14: Purl.
Row 15: Knit.
Row 16: Purl.
Rows 17 through 19: Knit.
Row 20: Purl.
Rep Squares 1 and 2, 6 more times, then rep Square 1, once: 15 squares made.
Ending point edge
Change to C.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Knit to the 2 sts, K2tog.
Rep Row 2 until 2 sts rem. BO, weave in ends.
Joining
Being sure all right sides face the same way, sew strips together starting with Strip 1, then Strip 2; alternate Strips 1 and 2 across, ending with Strip 1; leave points loose at each end.
Weave in all ends.
