Instructions
1. Lay out nine each of four different blocks, alternating red/yellow on two sides and navy/burgundy on the other two sides. (Diagram 1)
2. Using accurate 1/4” seams and starting in the center with the pink square and shortest log, piece all the blocks, pressing seams away from the center. (Diagram 2)
3. Make four stacks of nine identical blocks with the red/yellow sides toward the center. Sew blocks together in pairs then sew pairs together. (Diagram 3)
4. Sew blocks together in pairs, then sew pairs together (Diagram 4)
5. Sew pairs together to finish the top. (Diagram 5)

36 squares, 2 1/2” x 2 1/2 ”, pink (centers)
from each of the red, yellow, navy and burgundy, cut:
9 strips, 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" (log 1)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" (logs 2, 3)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" (logs 4, 5)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" (logs 6, 7)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 6 1/2" (logs 8, 9)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 7 1/2" (logs 10, 11)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 8 1/2" (logs 12, 13)
18 strips, 1 1/2" x 9 1/2" (logs 14, 15)
9 strips, 1 1/2" x 10 1/2" (log 16)
