Instructions
Square (make 20)
With raspberry, ch 5, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3, in ring work 2 dc, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2) 3 times; join with sl st in beg ch-3: 4 ch-2 sps.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, in next sp work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc): corner made; (dc in next 3 sts, work corner) 3 times; join with sl st in beg ch-3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, work corner, (dc in next 7 sts, work corner) 3 times, dc in next 2 dc; join with sl st in beg ch-3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next 6 sts, work corner, (dc in next 11 sts, work corner) 3 times, dc in next 4 dc; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3; finish off raspberry.
Rnd 5: Join white with sc in any ch-2 corner sp, ch 2, sc in same sp; *sc in next 2 sts, ch 5, FPsc around post of first dc below on Rnd 2, ( ch 5, skip 2 sts, sc in next st on Rnd 4, ch 5, skip next dc on Rnd 2, FPsc around next dc) 3 times, ch 5, skip 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts on Rnd 4, in corner sp work ( sc, ch 2, sc); rep from * 3 times more, ending with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 6: Ch 3; * in next corner sp work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc); dc in next 3 sc, (dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in sc) 4 times, dc in next 2 sc; rep from * 3 times more ending with dc in last sc; join in beg ch-3.
Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each st to ch-2 sp, work corner in sp, (dc in each st across to next sp, work corner) 3 times, dc in rem dc, sl st in beg ch-3.
Rnd 8: Rep Rnd 7, at end finish off white.
Rnd 9: Join raspberry with sc in any corner sp, ch 2, sc in same sp; *sc in next 3 sts, ch 5, FPsc around post of first dc below on Rnd 6, (ch 5, skip 3 sts, sc in next st on Rnd 9, ch 5, skip next 3 dc on Rnd 6, FPsc around post of next dc) 5 times, ch 5, skip 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts on Rnd 9, in corner sp work (sc, ch 2, sc); rep from * 3 times more, ending with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 10: Ch 3; *(dc, ch 2, dc) in corner sp, (dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, skip next st) 7 times, dc in next 3 sts; rep from * around ending with sl st in beg ch-3; finish off raspberry.
Rnd 11: Join white with sc in any corner sp, ch 2, sc in same sp; *sc in next 4 dc; working in front of ch-1 sp, (tr in skipped sc 2 rounds below, sc in next 3 dc) 7 times, sc in next dc, (sc, ch 2, sc) in corner sp; rep from * around ending with sl st in beg sc; finish off.
Rnd 12: Join raspberry in any ch-2 corner sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp; dc in each st around working 3 dc in each rem corner sp, end with sl st in beg ch-3; finish off; weave in ends.
Joining
To join, hold two squares with right sides tog and with raspberry sew tog with overcast st
along one side edge, carefully matching sts and corners. Then in same manner join into
5 rows of 4 squares each.
Border
Rnd 1: Hold afghan with right side facing you; join raspberry with sc in outer corner sp at top right; ch 1, 3 sc in same sp; sc around entire out edge of afghan, working 3 sc in each outer corner sp, join.
Rnd 2: Sl st in next sc, ch 3, 2 dc in same sc; *dc in each sc to next corner, 3 dc in center sc of each 3-sc corner sp; rep from * around, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Finish off raspberry.
Rnd 3: Join white with sc in any dc; *ch 3, sc in next dc; rep from * around, join in beg dc; finish off, weave in all yarn ends.
